In the city of dwarfs. My top 7 reasons to visit Wroclaw this winter

Hello beauties:) I just had a beautiful weekend in Polish Wroclaw - city of dwarfs, colours and food.

1. Traditional but yet unusual

The heart of the city - Market Square - very similar to many other medieval city centres, but... still architecture is different, colours and lines of the buildings create a fantastic atmosphere. If the day is very sunny, you will think there is a rainbow playing over the houses.

2. Christmas market

Yes. Like many other medieval cities in Central and Western Europe Wroclaw has a beautiful Christmas market. It's that time of the year when there is a magic in the air. The families and friends gather together to get warm at the fire, drink hot chocolate or taste the amazing food just made on the fire...

The variety of souvenirs also amazed me. Easy to find traditional delights from different corners of Europe, ceramics, jewellery, furs, toys and so on.

3. The Cathedral Island

Wroclaw is very often considered as the second Venice, as there are quite many islands in the city and one of them so called Cathedral Island is known as little Vatican. Another magical place.

As most of the cathedrals in Poland it is pretty impressive. My recommendation go up to the roof of the cathedral and enjoy the fantastic view.

4. Old but not really

The city has rich history and many historical places to see but it's very modern nowadays. Wroclaw is full of students, young business people, couples that make the place feel even more romantic... It seems to me that the city never sleeps. It is full of pubs, restaurants and night clubs, it is easy to find traditional polish cuisine or some exotic Chinese, Japanese or Arabic.

5. Dwarfs

While in Wroclaw watch out - there are hundreds of small figures. Small dwarfs. I find it so cute and interesting to look around and find them. They are all different and still showing the normal every day life of the people - like being a tourist or playing some computer games...

6. Shopping and foods

While in Wroclaw me and my husband understood - here coffee, waffles, tea, beer and tasty food are highly loved and appreciated. The city centre is full of food places. And yes, it is quite cheap comparing to nearby countries. The quality of food is very high from what I experienced.

There are few shopping malls near the centre, they seemed to me very similar - gathering the famous in Poland brands, and some world retail leaders like ZARA or H&M. My personal recommendation - visit Renoma mall and Arkady Wroclawskie. They are less crowded.

7. Not known

My weekend in Wroclaw passed very fast and I know that there are many more things to do and to see. The city is full of museums, theatres and parks. Unfortunately, I didn't have time to see everything. If you have a chance to visit Wroclaw, check them out. And so, I have a reason to come back...
